What's Happening Breastfeeding program
offers new service
The Mother's Corner, the MGH's breastfeeding support program for employees, started a
weekly consultation service this January offering nursing mothers who work at the MGH an
additional resource for their questions.
The Mother's Corner, sponsored by the Employee Assistance Program
(EAP), provides employees with a private place to utilize breast pumps, which are
available on a 24-hour basis both at the main campus and CNY. A lending library,
educational materials and a list of support services for nursing mothers also are
available.
Employees who would like to learn more about breastfeeding or
about The Mother's Corner may attend the upcoming presentation, "Nourishing Your
Newborn." The seminar will feature a talk given by Germaine Lambergs, RN, a lactation
consultant at the MGH, and a tour of the lactation rooms. The presentation will take place
twice: Feb. 3, 1 to 2 pm, VBK, room 401, and Feb. 4, noon to 1 pm, in the seventh floor
conference room, at CNY Building 149.
For more information about The Mother's Corner or the upcoming
seminar, call the EAP at 6-6976.
