New Blossom Street Cafe caters to needs of patients, families and staff

MGH's newest food service, the Blossom Street Cafe, opened for business Jan. 5 in the Cox Lobby, offering patients, families and staff a convenient place to pick up a light meal, snack or beverage.

The menu features a selection of nutritious and small-portioned food items made especially for patients who may be experiencing changes in appetite and taste resulting from various treatments. Protein-fortified items include muffins, soft-serve yogurt, half-sandwiches and low-fat cookies. Beverage supplements such as Ensure and Resource also are available.

Blossom Street Cafe serves a regular menu that offers a selection of bagels and pastries, salads, sandwiches, desserts, fruits and a variety of cold and hot beverages, including cappuccino. The daily menu is posted outside the cafe.

Blossom Street Cafe is open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 3 pm. The phone number is 6-2056.
