Sleigh overflows with
the holiday spirit Sue Hormon and her helper Gloria Meharg brought a full sleigh of presents to the MGH Dec.16, treating youngsters to a holiday party that included toys, food and a visit from Santa Claus. For the third consecutive year, Hormon has hosted holiday festivities for MGH pediatric patients. This year, in addition to giving each child a gift, she brought new items for the Child Life playrooms, donating a new foosball set, a doll house, board games, videos, Play-Doh clay and bubble-blowing supplies. Hormon began her tradition of gift giving to the MGH soon after her 18-year-old daughter, Kimberly, died of cancer at the hospital. Wanting to give back to the MGH and help comfort pediatric patients and families, she began raising money, first by holding a yard sale, which made $600. Hormon's cause attracted many supporters and soon became the fundraising effort known as Angels Above. Hormon's holiday spirit graces the MGH year round as she brings truckloads of gifts several times a year items that bring a little cheer to children's hospital experiences.
