Rematch:
Team MGH and Bruins Legends hit the ice
In support of this year's MGH United Way Campaign, Team MGH will once
again challenge the athletic abilities of the Bruins alumni team
the Black and Gold Legends for a celebrity hockey game to raise
money for the charity.
For the second year, Team MGH which is made up of MGH and Partners
employees who work at the MGH will play against the Black and Gold
Legends a team of former Boston Bruins hockey players. The all-in-fun,
no-check game will be held Jan. 23 at Harvard University, which donated
its hockey rink for the event.
"Although the Bruins did defeat the MGH hometeam last year, several
women skaters have been added to the MGH roster, which hopefully will
give Team MGH the advantage," says David Read, administrative director
for MGH Cardiology, and team captain.
Tickets for the event are $15 in advance, $10 for children and $20 at
the door. The night also will feature raffle prizes, food and refreshments.
