In memoriam

Daniel G. Heller, MD, a pediatrician for MassGeneral Hospital for Children, died of a heart attack Nov. 12 at the age of 60. Heller had been in private practice since 1976 but continued to play an active role in teaching medical students and residents. In the past several years, his teaching focus had been directed towards first-, second- and third-year Harvard Medical School students in the setting of his private practice. Heller was a pioneer at setting and maintaining high standards in clinical practice while being cognizant of the economical boundaries of practicing medicine in Massachusetts.
