The MGH Charlestown HealthCare Center celebrated its 32nd anniversary Oct. 19 and honored many of its employees for length of service in a celebration similar to the MGH’s Ether Day. The health center opened on Sept. 14, 1968 with a staff of l0 and has grown to a staff of more than l20 employees in the year 2000.

Special guests at this year’s celebration included James Mongan, MD, president of the MGH, Brit Nicholson, MD, MGH chief medical officer, and Jeff Davis, senior vice president for Human Resources. Members of the health center’s Community Advisory Board also were present. Below, Peggy Carolan, administrative director for MGH Charlestown, (left), poses with employees who were recognized.
