DMAT team photo display
The MGH Disaster Medical Assistance (DMAT) team shares their experiences
at Ground Zero with a photo display in the Ether Dome Museum Gallery on
Bulfinch 4. The display is open to the MGH community and public from 6 am
to 8 pm daily through Nov. 30.
Presentation on patient care after Sept. 11
MGHers are invited to attend a special presentation, "Cultural Conflict,
Patriotism and Professionalism: Caring for Patients and Each Other After
Sept. 11," Nov. 14, from 4:30 to 6 pm in the Walcott Conference Room

Work/Life seminar
The MGH Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will sponsor a Work/Life seminar,
"Raising Emotionally Healthy Boys," Nov. 8, from noon to 1 pm
in the Wellman Conference Room. The seminar will address methods of facilitating
emotional health in pre-adolescent and adolescent boys. For more information,

End Childrens Center preschool program
The North End Childrens Center, which joined the Partners system
in 1999, currently is accepting children 33 months of age and older for

MGH
Burn Center tribute and benefit
Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame musician Solomon Burke will perform at a benefit
concert in honor of Newton firefighter Ray McNamara, Nov. 19, 6 pm at
The Roxy club at 279 Tremont St. in Boston. McNamara, who was badly injured
in a 1993 explosion and treated at the MGH, will join Burke on stage for
a special performance. Tickets are $50 for patron attendees and $100 for
donors. All net proceeds will benefit the Sumner Redstone Burn Center
at the MGH. Checks and money orders made payable to the Ray Mac-MGH
Benefit Concert should be mailed to 600 Atlantic Ave., Suite 1200,

Eating
disorders symposium
The MGH Neuroendocrine Unit will host a fall symposium, "Eating Disorders:
A Multidisciplinary Update," Nov. 9, from 9 am to 1 pm in the OKeeffe
Auditorium. Topics will include "Primary Care Perspectives on Patients
with Eating Disorders," "Nutritional Counseling and Eating Disorders"
and "A Patients View." Space is limited. For more information

CCFA
support group
The Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) hosts a support
group at the MGH for people suffering from Crohns disease, ulcerative
colitis or inflammatory bowel disease. The groups next meeting will
be held Nov. 20, 6:30 pm in the Isselbacher Library on Blake 4. For more
