Phillipe Pernot, center, was all smiles during a visit by Curious George and his friends – volunteers from the FAO Schwarz toy store – on Ellison 17, Oct. 17. The volunteers brought remote-control cars, hula hoops, face painting and various other games and toys for about 25 pediatric patients.

FAO Schwarz and The Friends of the MGH Cancer Center, a volunteer group, have co-hosted the annual Holiday Shopping Gala and Silent Auction benefit at the store for the past seven years. This visit gave both FAO Schwarz staff and the Friends of the MGH Cancer Center an opportunity to meet some of the children who benefit from money raised at the gala. Proceeds provide amenities for all patients and their families visiting the MGH Cancer Center.
