Two MGHers receive prestigious award

Stuart Forman, MD, PhD, of MGH Anesthesia, and Stephanie Seminara, MD, of the MGH Reproductive Endocrine Unit, recently received the 2003 Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers at the White House Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

Presented by John H. Marburger, III, science advisor to President Bush and director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, this award is the nation's highest honor for professionals at the outset of their independent research careers. Eight federal departments and agencies annually nominate scientists and engineers whose work shows the greatest promise to benefit the nominating agency's mission. The National Institutes of Health nominated Forman and Seminara, who were among only 57 researchers in the country to receive this award.
