In general Jeffrey Cooper, PhD, of MGH Biomedical Engineering, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). AAMI is an alliance of more than 6,000 members united by the common goal of increasing the understanding and beneficial use of medical instrumentation. Tao Wu, PhD,
of MGH Radiology, and Richard Moore, director of Breast Imaging Research
at the MGH, received an award for the best paper published in Medical
Physics, a scientific journal, in 2003.
