As in past years, flu vaccine will be available to MGH employees and volunteers in the Main Corridor from Nov. 1 through 8, 7 am to 5 pm. Vaccine clinics currently are being arranged for CNY and Somerville sites and will be announced through an all-user e-mail. The flu strains predicted to be active this winter are type A, which are associated with more severe illness, so MGHers are encouraged to get vaccinated. Employee IDs are required, and comfortable clothing with sleeves that can be easily rolled up is suggested on the day of vaccination. For employees who are allergic to latex, specially prepared vaccine is available at the Occupational Health Service by appointment at 726-2217. Get your pinch and stay healthy during the winter.
