CRP seminar
The Human Research Committee and the Clinical Research Program (CRP) are sponsoring "What Does the IRB Really Want? How to Write a Human Study Protocol" Nov. 10, from 4 to 5 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. Topics include review mechanisms, consent forms and how to best respond to IRB questions and concerns. New ATM in Clinics building
The Harvard University Employees Credit Union has installed a new ATM in the Clinics Building that now accepts deposits. This machine also is the only SUM and NYCE shared deposit-taking ATM located on MGH property. For more information, call the Credit Union at (617) 726-1630.

Schizophrenia education day
The Schizophrenia Program of the MGH Department of Psychiatry will host the second annual Schizophrenia Education Day Nov. 6, from 9 am to 3 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. The program will include a series of talks about current approaches to treating schizophrenia, including both medication and cognitive-behavioral therapy, and new research methods. Calling all hockey players
Team MGH is planning for its third hockey game against the Bruins Legends Jan. 21 and is looking for employees interested in joining the team. Information sessions for interested players will be held Nov. 4 at 4:30 pm and Nov. 5 at 7:30 am. Both sessions will be held in the Murphy Conference Room, Bigelow 800. This "no-check" game will be played at the Harvard University Arena and will benefit the MGH United Way campaign. For more information, call Ron Doncaster at (617) 887-3505.

The Clinical Research Program (CRP) is sponsoring "Conducting FDA-regulated Research" Oct. 28, from 8 am to 2:30 pm in the Wellman Conference Room.

Case Management seminar
The MGH Case Management Department will sponsor an education seminar "Alternative Therapies" Nov. 2, from 2 to 3 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. Lucy Chen, MD, an MGH anesthesiologist, will discuss acupuncture and acupressure. Regina Powers, RN, MSN, an MGH trauma nurse coordinator, will provide information about homeopathy, Chinese medicine and yoga. Catherine Ulbricht, PharmD, senior MGH pharmacist, will discuss the safety of herbs and supplements. All three speakers as well as information tables will be available from 3 to 4 pm outside the O'Keeffe Auditorium.
