Help
name the Radiology robot The MGH Radiology Image Service Center (ISC) recently completed a three-month pilot that monitored the feasibility of using a trackless robotic courier to transport x-rays between the main ISC in the Blake sub-basement and the Dodd Interpretation Area on Blake 2. The robot and elevator utilization was monitored closely, and the results demonstrated that there was no negative impact. The robot has allowed the ISC staff more time to better serve patients. The robot now needs a name. The robot will be making a special appearance in the Main Corridor Oct. 25, from noon to 1 pm. MGHers are welcome to stop by, meet the robot and submit a suggestion for the robot's name. Ballots also may be deposited at boxes located in the Central Lobby and the Image Service Center in the Blake sub-basement. A selection committee from multiple service areas will meet in November to make the final decision about the robot's name. Ballots to name the robot are available in
this week's issue of Hotline. |
