Benefits
open enrollment Open enrollment will be held at the MGH Oct. 23 through Nov. 6, with changes effective Jan. 1, 2001. Personal benefit summaries will be mailed to employees' homes during the week of Oct. 16. There will be several changes to benefit packages this year, including a change in rates, some enhancements to the Davis Vision plan and changes to mental health benefits. MGH employees will be able to enroll on the Internet this year, in addition to the voicemail system. There also is a change in the optional life insurance program offered to MGH employees. Special open enrollment for optional life will enable employees to get coverage without providing evidence of good health. Employees can stop by information sessions, called BeneFairs and QuickStops, to ask questions about various benefit programs. At the BeneFairs, employees can talk with representatives from companies that provide benefits and programs to the MGH. Benefits Office staff and generalists will be available to answer questions at the QuickStops.
