for Stephanie M. Macaluso, RN, award
The Stephanie M. Macaluso, RN, Expertise in Clinical
Practice Award recognizes outstanding direct-care providers. Occupational therapists,
physical therapists, respiratory therapists, speech and language pathologists, social
workers and chaplains are eligible. Nominations are due by Oct. 29 and can be submitted by

Domestic violence

Breast Health
Awareness Day
The North End Community Health Center will offer
screenings for Breast Health Awareness Day, Oct. 20, 10 to 11:30 am and 5 to 7 pm, 332
Hanover St. Those who qualify will receive a free mammogram, breast self-exam
instructions, a clinical breast exam and refreshments. Qualifications include being
uninsured/underinsured, ages 40 to 65 with a personal or family history of breast cancer
or over 65 and not eligible for Medicare. Deadline for registration is Oct. 14. For more
