  • Mummy on the move
    Monday, the MGH discharged its oldest patient – a 2,500-year-old mummy named Padihershef who resides in the Ether Dome. The 6th-century mummy and his colorful burial coffin were carefully packed in special material and transported to Boston's Museum of Science, where they will be featured in the upcoming exhibit "Virtual Egypt."
  • "It's just a little pinch" – flu shots begin
    The flu vaccine campaign "It's just a little pinch" kicks off at the MGH Oct. 13. MGHers can get flu shots, Oct. 13 and 14, 6 am to 6 pm, and Oct. 15 to 22, 7 am to 5 pm, in the Main Corridor. MGH East employees can get shots Oct. 15, 8 am to 4 pm, CNY, West Lobby, first floor, conference room B.
  • Laura L. Norling, MD
    Laura L. Norling, MD, of MGH Pediatrics, died Sept. 13 after a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held Oct. 9 at 2 pm, Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church, 106 Walnut St., Natick, Mass.
