2001 Stewart Memorial Scholarship winners

During his years of service to the MGH, the late Clifford D. "Cliff" Stewart III a former on-site leader for Walsh Brothers Construction Company who extensively worked with the MGH Planning Office made a solid impression, both as a professional and personal inspiration. On Sept. 17, two employees Nedjey Cassamajor, of Partners Real Estate, and David Politano, of MGH Buildings and Grounds were recognized for their embodiment of similar attributes as the recipients of this year's Stewart Memorial Scholarship Award.

The winners were congratulated by their colleagues, representatives of Walsh Brothers and members of the Stewart family at a reception held in the East Garden Dining Room. The scholarships benefit MGH and Partners employees in construction-related fields who wish to advance their careers and personal contributions through education.

"I know that Cliff would have been very pleased with this year's winners," said Jim Guiry, of MGH Planning and Construction. "Nedjey actually worked on many projects with Cliff and was one of his favorites. David is a young man just starting out in the construction trade. He has a strong desire to learn, and Cliff greatly admired that in a person."
