Ether Day
celebration of service Ether Day will be
celebrated Oct. 12, recognizing the contributions of employees who have worked at the MGH
for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 60 years. This will be the first year to
include two new service milestones 35 and 45 years as part of the recognition event. This year's Ether Day celebration will honor approximately 1,600 employees and staff. The Ether Day reception will begin at 2 pm under the Bulfinch Tent. All MGHers are welcome to attend. A dinner for MGH employees and staff who have worked at the MGH for 20 or more years will be held at a new venue, the Boston Marriott Long Wharf Hotel, with a reception beginning at 6 pm. Ether Day pins are being distributed to department heads according to budget codes this week, and Ether Day flowers will be distributed to departments on the morning of Oct. 12. Flowers and pins for physicians will be delivered to their budget code department heads unless unassigned, in which case, they will be delivered to the chiefs of service. |
