Nathaniel Bowditch prize
for improving care Nominations are being accepted for the inaugural Nathaniel Bowditch Prize. The $5,000 prize will be awarded to any clinician or nonclinician who has made a significant contribution to improving quality of care at the MGH while reducing the cost of such care. The award was established by Charles and Nancy Munger through the Alfred C. Munger Foundation to honor Nathaniel Bowditch (1773 - 1838), a pioneer in celestial navigation. Bowditch had two sons who were important figures in the history of the MGH. Nomination forms are available in the Main Lobby, the Blum Patient and Family Learning Center, the Bigelow 10 nursing office and the MGPO office on Bulfinch 2.
