Members of the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) survey team traversed the MGH this week, inspecting inpatient and outpatient areas, meeting with hospital management and questioning MGHers about hospital policies and procedures. The JCAHO survey takes place every three years.

According to Maryanne Spicer, chair of the hospitalwide JCAHO steering committee, this week's survey has been going well. The hospital will receive the final results from JCAHO some time in the next few months. See next week's issue of Hotline for more details about the survey.
