Partners Town Meeting
A Partners Town Meeting will be held Sept. 23, from 3 to 4 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. James J. Mongan, MD, president and CEO of partners, will discuss the 10-year anniversary of Partners.

Senior HealthWISE program
MGH Senior HealthWISE will sponsor "Community Resoures: Where to Go and Whom to Ask" Sept. 21, from 11 am to noon in the Walcott conference rooms. Ruth Grabel, MPH, from the Office of Elder Health at the Departmetn of Public Health, will provide information, about state programs for seniors. This event, for seniors 60 years and older, is free of charge. For more information, call (617) 724-6756.

EAP programs
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will hold a monthly lecture series about elder care starting Sept. 28, from noon to 1 pm in the VBK Building, room 401. Barbara Moscowitz, LICSW, an MGH geriatric social worker, will discuss care coordination; family issues associated with caring for an elder adult; legal, estate and medical issues; grieving loss and caring for oneself. The EAP also will hold a Work/Life seminar "Introduction to Home Ownership" Sept. 23, from noon to 1:30 pm in the Wellman Conference Room. Bob Gray, senior mortgage originator from the Harvard Credit Union, will give an overview of the financial aspects of the purchasing process. For more information, call (617) 726-6976.

PIE Awards nominations

MGH Quit Smoking Service program
The MGH Quit Smoking Service will offer an afternoon smoking cessation program beginning Sept. 30 at 2 pm. This seven-session, weekly group program includes information about preparing to quit, coping with stress without cigarettes, preventing weight gain and tips for not smoking again. Plain Language Writing Workshop
The MGH Treadwell Library will sponsor a two-day "Plain Language Writing Workshop" Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at 100 Charles River Plaza, room 225. Menopause and Your Health
The MGH Women's Health Coordinating Council will host "Menopause and Your Health" Sept. 21, from 5 to 7:30 pm in the Blum Patient and Family Learning Center. The program is designed to help women better understand the facts about menopause and current treatment options. The registration fee is $25. Technologist and allied health professionals open house
The MGH will host an employee open house for technologists and allied health professionals Sept. 26, from 11 am to 3 pm in the North and East Garden Dining Rooms.
