Fond farewell: Sendoff for Partners summer interns The MGH and other Partners institutions often are heralded as key centers for learning and educational development. During the past summer, for instance, 19 college students from around the country gained valuable knowledge, work experience and confidence from their time spent as Partners summer interns. The interns, along with their Partners sponsors, were recognized and thanked for their contributions at a luncheon Aug. 21, held at the Partners headquarters at the Prudential Center. The students shared explanations of their individual projects and summarized what they had learned during their summer with Partners. "We always are pleased to host the interns and their sponsors at this end-of-term event, and to learn about their experiences," says Suzanne Culver of Partners Human Resources. "The interns report that their projects were very meaningful, and they feel that their work at Partners has helped to shape their future careers." The Partners Internship 2001 program placed 14 students at the MGH and five at McLean Hospital. For more information about the Partners Internship program, call (617) 724-8568. |
