Happening Longwood
Symphony
The Longwood Symphony Orchestra, an ensemble for the
medical community, will hold its annual open rehearsal Sept. 7, from 7 to 9:30 pm at
Vanderbilt Hall, 107 Avenue Louis Pasteur. Auditions for all instruments will be held
Sept. 12 at Temple Israel in Boston, 6 to10 pm. Basses, horns, harp and violas are
welcome. Concerts are played at Jordan Hall and on the Esplanade. For more information,

Bowling league
The MGH/BWH Bowling League will begin its 52nd
season Sept. 7. Teams meet Thursday evenings at the Ryan's Family Center (formerly Kenmore
Bowladrome) in Kenmore Square, at 5:30 pm. The league runs from September to April and
welcomes new members and those who just want to bowl for an evening. For more information,

Memorial service for
Arthur Durante
A memorial service for Arthur Durante, long-time
patient and friend of the MGH, will be held in the MGH Chapel, Sept. 5 at 1:30 pm. A
reception will follow at 2:30 pm in the foyer outside of Cox 1 and the Blossom Street
Cafe. Staff and friends are invited to attend. |
