Mural
brings fairy tale to life in Backup Child Care Center The MGH Backup Child Care Center (BUCC) is an important
resource for MGH employees when day care or babysitting arrangements fall through. Now the
center has added an artistic element to boost the spirits of stressed parents and shy
children: a wall mural inside the main entrance. The mural was designed and painted by Susan Zenk, a local artist who also is the sister of BUCC director Mary Zenk Westmoreland mwestmoreland@partners.org (pictured at right in front of mural). It depicts a lush meadow dotted with forest creatures, children, fairies and a colorful cottage. "The mural is even better than we'd hoped for," says Westmoreland. "It's something for the parents to look at while they're waiting, and it especially makes an impression on the kids. They just love it." The BUCC is located in the Warren Lobby.
