MGHers go wild over Bon Jovi

Many MGH employees hoped that July 21 would be their lucky day. They had entered a raffle to win tickets to see the rock band Bon Jovi in concert with Sheryl Crow and the Goo Goo Dolls July 22 at Gillette Stadium. Approximately 2,500 e-mails flooded the mailbox of Steve Taranto, Human Resources manager, for a chance to win these sought-after tickets. MGHers were given four days to submit their names, allowing for all shifts to participate. Jonathan Kraft, vice chairman of the New England Patriots, originally donated 100 tickets to the MGH. But when he learned how many MGHers were interested, Kraft offered an additional 200 tickets. Through a random drawing, 150 lucky MGHers received a pair of tickets to attend the concert.

From left, Lindsay Zapata, Mary Houghton, RN, and Jennifer Carey were among the ticket winners.
