In General Rev. Ana Ruth Higbee-Barzola, an interfaith chaplain in the MGH Chaplaincy, received the Outstanding Institutional Chaplain Award from the Board of National Ministries of the American Baptist Churches at its annual meeting in Providence, RI. Kurt J. Isselbacher, MD, of the MGH Cancer Center, recently received an honorary doctorate of science degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Jay Loeffler, MD, chief of MGH Radiation Oncology, received the Dr. Jacob Fabrikant Memorial Award from the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society at the organization's biannual meeting in Las Vegas June 13. Loeffler was recognized for his lifetime achievement in the field of stereotaxy. Jonathan L. Tilly, PhD, of the MGH Vincent Center for Reproductive Biology, is among the recipients of the Steven and Michele Kirsch Foundation Medical Investigator Awards. Tilly received a grant award for his research in genetics of normal and premature menopause. |
