MGH, Shriners receive awards for caring for victims of RI fire

The MGH and the Shriners Burns Institute of Boston recently were awarded the Downtown North Outstanding Professional and Public Service Award for providing immediate and continuing medical care to the victims of the Station nightclub fire in West Warwick, RI. The award was presented at the Downtown North Association's annual meeting June 16.

The Downtown North Association is a coalition of organizations including medical institutions, residential communities, entertainment venues and major transportation facilities bounded by City Hall Plaza on the south, Charles River on the north, Beacon Hill on the west and the North End on the East.
