Nominations for the Nathaniel
Bowditch Prize Nominations now are being accepted for the 2003 Nathaniel Bowditch Prize. The $5,000 award will be presented to an MGH employee clinician or nonclinician who has made a significant contribution to improving the quality of care at the hospital while reducing the cost of such care. The award was established in 2000 by Charles and Nancy Munger through the Alfred C. Munger Foundation to honor Nathaniel Bowditch, a 19th century pioneer in celestial navigation and an early supporter of the MGH. Nomination forms are available in the Main Lobby, the Blum Patient and Family Learning Center, the Bigelow 10 nursing office and the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization office on Bulfinch 2. All nominations should be submitted by Sept. 30 to Andrew Warshaw, MD, chairman of the Bowditch Prize Selection Committee, White 506. For more information, call Suzanne Williams at (617) 726-8254. |
