Seven draftees of the National Hockey League (NHL) gave Ismael Peguero, age 3, a "lift" during a recent visit to the MGH Pediatric units. The children and families on Ellison 17 and 18 enjoyed a fun-filled night with prospective first-round picks on the eve of the 1999 NHL entry draft, which was held at Boston's FleetCenter June 26.

The players signed autographs, posed for pictures and presented patients with t-shirts, hats and banners from some of the NHL's 28 teams. Heather Peach, a child life specialist on Ellison 18, and Amy Vacchina, of Human Resources, organized the players' visit.
