What's happening

Clinical Pastoral Education Program fellowship
Through funding from the Kenneth B. Schwartz Center and MGH Nursing, fellowships are available for the winter 2005 MGH Clinical Pastoral Education Program. The program is open to individuals from any discipline who work directly with patients and/or families in a health care setting and who wish to integrate spiritual care giving skills into their professional practice. Six Kenneth B. Schwartz Fellowships will be awarded to caregivers from disciplines other than pastoral care. Two spiritual caregiver fellowships will be given to registered nurses in MGH Nursing who are in direct caregiver roles and have a minimum of two years experience. The program is part-time and will run from Jan. 3 through May 20, 2005. Sessions will be held every Monday – excluding Jan. 17 and April 25 – from 9 am to 5 pm. EAP training
The MGH Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will offer training courses for managers and supervisors regarding the use of the EAP as a resource to assist with behavioral and mental health and substance abuse concerns. The next training session will be July 22, from noon to 1:30 pm, in the Sweet Conference Room in Gray/Bigelow 4. Additional sessions will be held Sept. 7 and Nov. 2. To register, call

Extended hours for photo ID badges
MGH Police and Security reminds all hospital employees to wear their hospital photo IDs at all times during the upcoming Democratic National Convention to be held July 26 to 29. For new or replacement ID badges, visit the Photo ID office in the basement of the Clinics Building, Room 045A, which is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 4 pm, and Friday 10:30 am to 4 pm. Extended hours will be offered July 12 through 16, 6 am to 6 pm, July 17, 8 am to 4 pm, and July 20, 6 am to 6 pm. The Photo ID Office at CNY is in the West Lobby of Building 149
