Patriots, prizes
and popcorn
On a warm, early summer day MGHers gathered under the Bulfinch tent June
29 for the annual summer picnic, hosted by Peter L. Slavin, MD, president
of the MGH. MGHers
enjoyed a complimentary lunch while listening to the reggae tunes of the
Volume II Steel Band (left). Fun outdoor activities included a
moonbounce, raffles and carnival-style games and prizes.
New England Patriots' tight end, Christian Fauria, was in attendance,
posing for photos (below) and enjoying the festivities with MGH
fans. Fauria recently suffered from
finger and knee injuries and underwent surgery at the MGH. "Everyone
at the MGH took great care of me during the whole ordeal. They made the
surgery process very easy," said Fauria. "The professionalism
I experienced here was first class. When I got the call about the picnic
today, I was glad to come."
