Blood Donor Center sundae party
The MGH Blood Donor Center will offer free ice cream sundaes July 3 and 5 to employees who donate blood or platelets. Sundaes will be served from 10 am to 4:30 pm, and employees who donate between 8:30 and 10 am are welcome to make their sundaes later in the day. The Blood Donor Center is located in the Gray Lobby. Ice cream celebration

In recognition of the MGH having the highest employee participation in the Boston Bike-to-Work Day Corporate Challenge, an ice cream party will be held on the Bulfinch Lawn July 12. All MGHers are invited to the celebration, which is sponsored by Ben & Jerry'sİ. Ice cream will be available to Bike-to-Work participants beginning at 11:30 am, and to all employees from noon to 1:30 pm. For more information, contact David Jackson at (617) 724-4819.

Summer outings for families of interns, residents and fellows
The annual MGH summer program of midday swimming and picnics for families of medical interns, residents and fellows will begin July 11 and continues through August 15. For more information, call Keiko Shioda at (781) 221-0034, Dorothea Rodkey at (617) 484-6310 or Lisa Humphreys at (617) 723-6261.

Clifford D. Stewart III Memorial Scholarship Award
Applications now are being accepted for the second annual Clifford D. Stewart III Memorial Scholarship Award. The award is named in memory of Cliff Stewart, an employee of Walsh Brothers Construction, who served as a construction manager at the MGH for more than 20 years. Full-time MGH and Partners employees from all departments, who are pursuing education or training in any aspect of the building industry, are eligible. Applications must be submitted by July 21.
