Anne Klibanski, MD, chief of the MGH Neuroendocrine Unit, recently received the 2002 Clinical Investigator Award from the Endocrine Society. The society presents the award annually to an internationally recognized clinical investigator for major contributions to clinical research related to the pathogenesis, pathophysiology and therapy of endocrine disease. Klibanski was acknowledged for her studies about the relationship between pituitary disorders and osteoporosis.

David T. Scadden, MD, of MGH Hematology/Oncology, recently received a five-year Burroughs Wellcome Fund Clinical Scientist Award in Translational Research. The award supports the career development of U.S. and Canadian physicians and scientists whose work bridges the gap between basic research and patient care. Scadden also was inducted into the Association of American Physicians.

Jonathan L. Tilly, PhD, director of the MGH Vincent Center for Reproductive Biology, was selected as the recipient of the 2002 Richard E. Weitzman Memorial Award from the Endocrine Society. The society presented the award in recognition of Tilly's work that has brought insight into menopause and validated new approaches to preserving female fertility. Tilly also was acknowledged by the Endocrine Society with a Glenn Foundation Endocrinology and Aging Award for an abstract presented at the society's 84th annual meeting.
