Barbara "Bea" Kaufmann Ellms, a staff nurse in the MGH Emergency Department since 1987, died May 21 at the MGH. She was 45. Ellms leaves her mother, her husband, a son and two stepchildren. She previously had worked as an EMT and paramedic before becoming a registered nurse.

A memorial service will be held in the MGH Chapel June 28 at 2 pm. A reception will follow in the Wellman Conference Room. Donations in Ellms' memory may be made to the MGH Development Office, 100 Charles River Plaza, 6th Floor, Boston, MA 02114.
