MGH Chelsea family summer safety fair
The MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center will sponsor its annual "Safety
on Wheels, Safety in Summer" event June 21, from noon to 3 pm in
the health center parking lot at 151 Everett Ave. in Chelsea. Parents
and children are invited to attend for home, water, fire, sun and car
safety tips. Children are encouraged to bring their bikes and helmets
for safety checks. The rain date is June 28. For more information, call

Ernest Haddad Lecture
The first Ernest Haddad Lecture in Medical Ethics, "Crossing the
Quality Chasm in Health Care," will be held June 26 at 8 am in the
O'Keeffe Auditorium. Harvey Feinberg, MD, PhD, president of the Institute
of Medicine, will be the guest speaker. Haddad served as the general cousel
at the MGH and Partners HealthCare for 21 years.
Spring 2002 schedule for computer training
Partners Information Systems Training now has released the Summer Computer
Workshop training schedule for Microsoft Office applications. Beginning
in July, classes will be held at the new Training and Workforce Development
office located at 100 Charles River Plaza, second floor. For more information,

Senior HealthWISE seminar
The MGH Senior HealthWISE education seminar program will offer "Tai
Chi for Health, Happiness and Longevity" June 23, from 4 to 5 pm
in the East Garden Dining Room. Rebecca Spainhower, a Tai Chi instructor,
will show how Tai Chi can increase flexibility, enhance the immune system
and improve memory, balance and circulation. For more information, call

Training and Workforce Development office
moving
Training and Workforce Development will be relocating to 100 Charles River
Plaza, second floor. The office will close June 20 at noon and reopen
June 23 at the new location. Beginning June 23, training classes in Microsoft
Windows and Outlook, and programs such as tuition reimbursement and the
support service grant program, will be offered at the new location. For

staff will remain the same.
