Computer training summer
schedule
Partners Information Systems Training has released the Summer Computer
Workshop training schedule for Microsoft Office 2000 applications. Classes
will be held at the MGH Training and Workforce Development Office, 100
Charles River Plaza, second floor. Schedules, course descriptions and

EPA seminar
The MGH Employee Assistance Program will sponsor "Eldercare,"
a seminar addressing issues related to caring for aging family members
June 24, from noon to 1 pm in the Burr Conference Rooms 5 and 6. Barbara
Moscowitz, LICSW, will offer community resources aiding in caring for

McGovern memorial golf tournament
The Atrial Fibrillation
Foundation will host a golf tournament Sept. 16, in memory of its
founder, Brian A. McGovern, MD. McGovern served as the co-director of
the MGH
Cardiac Arrhythmia Service until his untimely death. The tournament
will be held at the Nicklaus Course at the Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth,

Senior HealthWISE seminar
MGH
Senior HealthWISE will sponsor "Glaucoma: Diagnosis and Management"
June 21, from 4 to 5 pm in the Walcott Conference Rooms, for seniors 60
and over. Laura C. Fine, MD, of Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, will
provide education on screening for glaucoma, risk factors, signs of progression

Memorial service
A memorial service will be held for Maria Carmen Alfonso, RN, June 22
in the MGH Chapel, at 5 pm. A reception will follow in the Trustees Room
located on Bulfinch 2. Alfonso died earlier this year at age 55 from a
chronic illness. She began her nursing career at the MGH in 1979.
