Peace service
The MGH Chaplaincy will hold an interfaith service for peace June 24, at 12:15 pm in the MGH Chapel on Ellison 1. MGH chaplains will conduct the service, which will focus on bringing peace to the world. All are invited to attend. For more information or to speak to a chaplain, contact the Chaplaincy at (617) 726-2220.

Conference room bookings
Environmental Services will not be accepting any new requests for conference room bookings during the weeks of July 29, through Aug. 9, for the following rooms: O'Keeffe Auditorium, Walcott 2 and 3, Wellman 101, Burr 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6, Lawrence House, Clinics 1 Lower Amphitheater. There also will be no special requests for tables and chairs. Environmental Services will be accepting cancellations for those rooms during that time. Any new requests should be submitted before July 22 or after Aug. 12. For more information, call (617) 726-2445.

Book signing
Author Deborah Heffernan will be signing copies of her book, An Arrow Through the Heart, July 18 outside the MGH General Store near the Ellison elevators. The book tells the story of Heffernan's experiences as a cardiac patient at the MGH.

Research management lecture
The Research Management Department will host a lecture for all PhDs, "Fostering Scientific Careers; What Can Be Done Locally," June 17, from 11:30 am to 1 pm in the Trustees Room. Lunch will be served. For more information, contact Mary Jo Gianatassio at (617) 724-2728.
