Surgical web broadcast
The Operating Room of the Future at the MGH will be featured in a live web broadcast of a laparoscopic radical prostatectomy — a minimally invasive, innovative treatment for prostate cancer — performed by Douglas Dahl, MD, FACS, of MGH Urology, June 17 at 4 pm. All MGH employees are invited to watch the broadcast from the O'Keeffe Auditorium. For more information, send e-mail to mghwebcast@partners.org.

MGPO quarterly meeting
All physicians and staff are invited to the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO) quarterly meeting June 19, from 5:30 to 7 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. For more information, call (617) 724-9644.

Senior HealthWISE seminar
The MGH Senior HealthWISE education seminar program will offer "Tai Chi for Health, Happiness and Longevity" June 19, from 4 to 5 pm in the East Garden Dining Room. Rebecca Spainhower, a Tai Chi instructor, will show how Tai Chi can increase flexibility, enhance the immune system and improve memory, balance and circulation. EAP seminar
The MGH Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will host "Keeping Our Children Safe: Parenting in Unsafe Times" June 19, from noon to 1 pm in the Wellman Conference Room. Candelaria Silva, a parenting specialist, will offer techniques to keep children safe. For more information, contact the EAP at (617) 726-6976.

Summer jobs program
Part-time summer help still is available for all MGH departments. The Jobs for Boston Youth program provides SummerWorks program alumni and students from East Boston High School with job opportunities at the MGH. Students spend 25 hours per week at the hospital from July through August. For more information, contact Galia Kagan at (617) 724-8326 by June 20.

Training and Workforce Development office relocates
Training and Workforce Development will be relocating from 185 Cambridge St. to 100 Charles River Plaza, second floor. The office will close June 20 at noon and reopen June 23 at the new location.

MGH Chelsea family summer safety fair
The MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center will sponsor its annual "Safety on Wheels, Safety in Summer" event June 21, noon to 3 pm in the health center parking lot at 151 Everett Ave. in Chelsea. Parents and children are invited to attend for home, water, fire, sun and car safety tips. Children are encouraged to bring their bikes and helmets for safety checks. The rain date is June 28.
