neurosurgeon honored Robert Ojemann, MD, director of the MGH Brain Tumor Center, received the C. Miller Fisher, MD, Award for outstanding accomplishment in surgical management of cerbrovascular disease at the American Heart Association's Third Annual Stroke Awareness Awards luncheon at the Boston Copley Marriott Hotel May 14. Fisher is a retired MGH neurologist. Ojemann, who has worked at the MGH for 42 years, was recognized for his surgical skill, leadership and dedication to his work. The luncheon was one of several events celebrating May as Stroke Awareness Month. The event helped to launch the Boston Stroke Project, a year-long initiative to educate Boston residents about the warning signs, symptoms and treatment of strokes.
