Estrogen therapy forum
The Massachusetts General Physicians Organization and the Women's Health
Coordinating Council are co-sponsoring a forum for clinicians, "Update
on Estrogen Therapy" June 7, from 5 to 6:30 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium.
Isaac Schiff, MD, chief of the MGH Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology Service,
will be the speaker. CME and CEU contact hours will be awarded to clinicians.

Men's cancer awareness fair
The MGH Cancer
Center will host the Men's Cancer Awareness Fair June 18, from 10
am to 2 pm in the Main Corridor. Information about early detection, prevention
and treatment of the most common cancers affecting men will be available.

Nursing Career
Coaching Program
The Nursing Career Coaching Program at MGH will host a second seminar,
"Getting Started in a Nursing Career," June 16, from 3 to 4
pm in the Clinics Lower Amphitheatre. A representative from the Boston
Private Industry Council will provide an overview about understanding
the role and activities of nurses in entry-level positions for nursing,
licensing and school requirements. The seminar is open to all MGH employees.

MGH Vincent Obstetrics anniversary
The MGH Vincent Obstetrics program will celebrate its 10th anniversary
with a birthday party June 17, from noon to 2:30 pm under the Bulfinch
Tent. A poster session and information booths also will be on display
from noon to 4 pm under the tent. The entire MGH community is welcome
to attend.
Disabilities presentation
The MGH Office of the President and the MGH Council on Disabilities Awareness
invites the MGH community to a presentation "Employment: The Great
Equalizer for People with Disabilities" June 9, from 10 to 11:15
am in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. Roy Grizzard, MD, the first assistant secretary
of Labor for the Office on Disability Employment Policy, will be the guest
speaker. A reception in Grizzard's honor will immediately follow the presentation.
The event is co-sponsored by the MGH Community Benefits Program, the Association
of Multicultural Members of Partners, Patient Care Services, Human Resources
and the Multicultural Affairs Office.
Ethics forum
The next ethics forum, "Exploring the Ethical Challenges of DNR Orders"
will be held June 11, from noon to 1 pm in the Sweet Conference Room.
Aaron Waxman, MD, PhD, of the MGH Pulmonary and Critical Care Unit, Ellen

Menopause and your health
The MGH Women's Health Coordinating Council will host "Menopause
and Your Health" June 9, from 5 to 7:30 pm at the MGH Revere HealthCare
Center. The program is designed to help women better understand the facts
about menopause and current treatment options. The registration fee is $25, and scholarships

CRP seminar series
The MGH
Clinical Research Program (CRP) will sponsor an information session
featuring the "RSVP for Health" database June 9, from 11:45
am to 1 pm in the Wellman Conference Room. Kay Ryan, of the CRP Clinical
Research Support Office, will describe how to use the "RSVP for Health"
database for subject recruitment. Karin Hobrecker, an MGH translation
specialist, and Lulu Sanchez, of the MGH Medical Interpreters Office,
will review available language resources and give tips on how to plan
for and work with medical interpreters and translators. For more information
