Meditation for Stress
Reduction
The Employee
Assistance Program (EAP) will sponsor a work/life seminar, "Meditation
for Stress Reduction," June 13, from noon to 1 pm in the Wellman
Conference Room. The seminar will outline the basics of meditation and
provide an explanation of the cumulative and short-term benefits associated
with meditation. Participants will have the opportunity to participate

MGPO seminar
The Massachusetts General Physicians Organization
(MGPO) is sponsoring the last of three seminars about genomics and technology, June 4,
from 5 to 6:30 pm in the Trustees Room. CME Category 1 credit will be offered. For more

Genomics seminar
The Clinical
Research Program (CRP) is sponsoring a seminar, "Genomics and
Genetic Epidemiology in the Investigation of Complex Diseases," June
11, from 4 to 5 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. The seminar will provide
a broad overview of concepts in design and statistical analyses used for
genetic studies of complex human diseases. The seminar is intended for
residents, fellows and staff interested in learning more about conducting
clinical investigation in genomics and genetic epidemiology. For more

CNRC accepting
applications
The Clinical Nutrition Research Center at Harvard
Medical School now is accepting applications for new pilot/feasibility projects and
competing renewals of currently funded one-year projects. Candidates must submit

CRP seminar series
The Clinical
Research Program (CRP) is sponsoring a seminar, "Protecting Vulnerable
Populations in Clinical Research," June 12, from 11:45 am to 1 pm
in the Wellman Conference Room. Alison M. Friedman, MD, of the Pediatric
Hematology/ Oncology Unit at MassGeneral Hospital for Children, will discuss
the issues involved in conducting clinical research on vulnerable populations,
and the measure that should be in place to provide extra protection for
the cognitively impaired. The lecture qualifies for 1.2 contact hours
for registered nurses. Lunch will be provided. For more information, call
