Race through Revere for good health

Despite the unseasonably cold weather, 73 runners gathered May 17 at Revere Beach for the annual "Revere Moves" 5-mile road race and health fair sponsored by the MGH Revere HealthCare Center. Franklin Sanchez was the winner of the race with a time of 25 minutes and 25 seconds. A one-mile fun run also was held for children ages 2 to 13.

The health fair, held at MGH Revere, included information about various safety and health topics, as well as cholesterol and blood sugar screenings, blood pressure readings and helmet safety checks for children.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Youth Zone, a teen center at MGH Revere.
