In General Patricia Donahoe, MD, of MGH Pediatric Surgery, recently received the Flance-Karl Award at an American Surgical Association meeting. The award is presented to a surgeon in the United States who has made a seminal contribution in basic laboratory research that has application to clinical surgery. Lynne Levitsky, MD, chief
of the MGH Pediatric Endocrine Unit, has been named president elect of
the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society. The society, comprised
of approximately 900 members, is the North American professional society
for academic pediatric endocrinologists. |
