Electrical shutdown
An electrical shutdown will affect the Blake, Ellison, Clinics and Founders House buildings May 19 at 12:30 am. Emergency power and lighting will be available in all affected areas. All critical patient care equipment should be plugged into red receptacles prior to shutdown. Power will be restored May 19 at 4:30 am. Durante Award presentation
The fourth annual Susan and Arthur Durante Award for Exemplary Care and Service with Cancer Patients will be presented May 14 at 4 pm in the Haber Conference Room. A reception outside of the Cox 1 entrance will immediately follow the award ceremony. The award honors two nonphysician staff members who exhibit compassion, caring and exemplary performance with cancer patients.

Working and breastfeeding seminar
The MGH Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will sponsor a Work/Life seminar entitled "Working and Breastfeeding," May 21, from noon to 1 pm in the VBK Building, Room 401. Germaine Lambergs, RN, a lactation consultant at the MGH, will give expectant parents and nursing mothers the basics on breastfeeding. For more information, contact the EAP at (617) 726-6976.

Zervas Lecture
The third annual Nicholas T. Zervas, MD, Lecture will be held May 21 at noon in the Ether Dome. Shlomo Melmed, MD, senior vice president for Academic Affairs at Cedars Sinai Research Institute and the UCLA School of Medicine, will be the guest speaker. For more information, call (617) 726-3870.

Research Patient Data Registry
The Clinical Research Program (CRP) and the Laboratory of Computer Science will offer a free lecture about using the web-based Partners Research Patient Data Registry to find patient cohorts for clinical research studies. MGH Revere annual Health Fair and Road Race
The MGH Revere HealthCare Center will sponsor its annual Health Fair and Road Race May 18, from 8:30 to 11 am, at 100 Ocean Ave. This year's fair will offer a variety of family activities including health screenings, safety tips, raffles and live entertainment.
