Jared, Matthew and Jacob Poirier snuggled up to popular children's character Arthur the Aardvark at Mass General West's Family Appreciation Day May 1. The Poirier boys, along with dad, Ron, joined hundreds of local residents and their families for the day-long event at the opening of the new facility. The event featured fun activities for children and free health and safety tips from Mass General West physicians.

The Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO) recently opened the new facility in Waltham to provide patients in the western suburbs access to MGH primary and specialty care physicians.

"The MGPO is tremendously pleased with the success of the open house," says Dan Ginsburg, MGPO president and chief operating officer. "The event provided a great opportunity to let families know they can obtain a full range of primary and specialty care services closer to home."
