From clowns to colorful artwork, MassGeneral Hospital for Children’s celebration of Children and HealthCare Week had something for children of all ages.

The weeklong celebration, held April 21 to April 27, featured such events as an art fair, a grand rounds about using humor in medicine, an educational program about pain management, the annual Family-Centered Care Awards and daily entertainment activities for the pediatric inpatient units.

The highlight of the week was the annual health fair, which featured the theme "The Olympics of Good Health," sponsored by the FleetBoston Financial Foundation. More than 2,800 children from local schools and organizations attended the fair that featured 50 interactive booths and displays, offering a range of topics from fire safety to blood donation.
