Digital Information Project
The Treadwell Library, the Cancer Resource Room and The Friends of the MGH Cancer Center are hosting a celebration for the inauguration of the Digital Information Project (DIP), May 6, noon to 4 pm in the Treadwell Library. DIP is a digital collection of cancer patient information that provides access to more than 400 full-text articles, book chapters, pamphlets and fact sheets. Ice cream will be served at the event.

Complementary medicine workshops for infertility
The MGH Vincent In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Unit is presenting a free workshop about complementary medicine for couples and individuals who are dealing with infertility. "Psychospiritual Healing of Infertility" sessions will be held May 1, 8, 15 and 22, from 5:15 to 7 pm. For more information or for advance registration, call (617) 724-3500.

MGPO lecture
The Massachusetts General Physicians Organization will launch a series of lectures about research topics for physicians called "Advances in Genetics and Technology: What Will They Mean for Your Patients?" The first lecture, "Genetics and Genomics," will be held, April 30, 5 to 6:30 pm, in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. This series will give physicians an opportunity to learn about the potential clinical application of some cutting-edge research at the MGH. CME Category 1 credits will be offered. Professional development series
Partners Training and Human Resources are offering a professional development series of information and training sessions. This program encompasses both training designed for managers and supervisors and other coursework open to all staff. Registration for fall classes has begun. Multiple Sclerosis Ride
The MGH Missing Links Cycling team is gearing up for the 12th annual Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Ride. This two-day bike ride from Boston to Provincetown will take place June 22 and 23 and benefits the MS Society. HOPES seminars
The MGH HOPES (Helping our Patients and Families through Education and Support) program will offer several classes and seminars this month. "Exercise and Lymphedema Management," will be held May 6, from noon to1 pm, facilitated by Diane Heislein, PT. "Poetry to Heal By," will be held May 7 from 11 am to noon, facilitated by Elizabeth Cook, an expressive arts therapist. Yoga class will be held May 2, from noon to 1 pm, facilitated by Luba Zagachin, yoga instructor. "Understanding Your Blood Counts," will be held May 9, noon to 1 pm, facilitated by Cathleen Poliquin, RN, an oncology nurse practitioner.
