Palliative care seminar
The MGH Ethics in Clinical Practice Committee, the Palliative Care Service and the Center for Clinical and Professional Development for Patient Care Services will sponsor "A Different Kind of Care," May 4, from 8 to 11 am and noon to 3 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. The program will address palliative care for patients and families. Participants will be awarded 3.6 contact hours. For more information, call (617) 726-3111.

Research job fair
The MGH will host the 4th annual Research Job Fair, April 27, from noon to 6 pm under the Bulfinch Tent. Participants are invited to discuss employment opportunities, current research projects, developments and breakthroughs. For more information, send e-mail to gclimo@partners.org.

IHP summer session
The MGH Institute of Health Professions (IHP) will offer Summer Session I, beginning May 7. Session II will begin June 4. Specific course offerings are available for clinical investigators, speech communication specialists, registered nurses and physical therapists. General courses for all students also are open. Patient Care Services program
The MGH Center for Clinical and Professional Development for Patient Care Services will present "Care of the Respiratory Compromised Patient," April 30, from 8 am to 4:30 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. Registered nurses, speech language pathologists and respiratory therapists participating will receive contact hours, and occupational therapists and physical therapists will receive a certificate of attendance. Weight management class
MGH Nutrition Services will offer "Winning at the Losing Game," a 10-week weight management class, beginning April 24. The class will meet every Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, and will include nutrition education, an exercise program and behavioral modification. The course fee is $240 ($225 for MGH employees) and is limited to 15 participants. For more information, call (617) 726-2779.

Respiratory Therapy open house

Breastfeeding seminar
The MGH Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will offer a two-part seminar on breastfeeding. Part I, "Nourishing Your Newborn," will be held April 26, from 1 to 2 pm in VBK 401, and May 3, from 1 to 2 pm in Larry Martin Conference Room A at CNY. MGH Cancer Center DIALOGUE series
The Friends of the MGH Cancer Center will sponsor the next program in the DIALOGUE series: "There is Life After Cancer — It's Not Always Easy," April 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in O'Keeffe Auditorium. Henry J. Mankin, MD, of MGH Orthopaedic Oncology, will moderate the panel discussion on issues facing cancer patients after treatment. Refreshments will be served.
