MGH Baby Faire booth measures up

Parents and kids of all ages, who attended Boston's Biggest Baby Faire April 1 and 2 at the Bayside Expo Center, received a warm welcome from the booth sponsored by the MGH, North Shore Medical Center and Newton-Wellesley Hospital. The booth, which last year was voted "most welcoming and warmest" by participants, was staffed by midwives, nurses, child life specialists, medical assistants, physical therapists and others from the three Partners institutions.

This year's attendees enjoyed booth activities geared toward infants — such as massage sessions and weight measurement — and for older kids — height measurements, bike safety tips and playtime suggestions. And for the moms-to-be, staff offered birthing ball demonstrations and physical therapy exercise tips.
