MGH
catches Red Sox fever
The Red Sox may not have fared well on their seasons
opening day, but MGH fans still rallied to their support. Employees, patients
and visitors were treated to a Red Sox welcome at the Eat Street Café
April 1, with ball park treats such as hotdogs, popcorn and Cracker Jacks.
The cafeteria was decorated with Red Sox flair and the game was broadcast
over the loudspeaker. "We are a celebrating the opening of the Red
Sox season with nothing but fun," says Helen Doherty, RD, (at
right) director of Food and Nutrition Services. "My staff went
all out on this."
Other
MGH Red Sox fans proved their enthusiasm for the new baseball season by
lining up in the Bulfinch Basement March 29 to purchase Red Sox vs. New
York Yankees tickets through the PERKS program. As the photo at left attests,
it was the hottest ticket in town.
